HOW IT WORKS:
1. Start with
a consultation
We'll briefly discuss what you're looking for and determine whether NeuroWell is a good fit.
2. Complete your psychiatric evaluation
We'll explore your symptoms, history, health, lifestyle, stressors and goals.
3. Create your individualized plan
Your plan may include medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle strategies, nervous-system regulation or other appropriate interventions.
Small Strategies Can Make a Big Difference
Mental wellness isn't something that happens only during an appointment.
Much of it happens in the choices and habits that make up everyday life. That's why education is an important part of my approach at NeuroWell.
Depending on your individual needs, we may talk about:
• Sleep and circadian rhythms
• Nutrition and mental wellness
• Movement and physical activity
• Stress physiology
• Nervous-system regulation
• Caffeine and stimulant use
• Mind-body techniques
• Relationships and boundaries
• Behavioral & attachment patterns
• Medication benefits and potential side effects
• Practical strategies you can use at home
My goal is not to overwhelm you with a long list of things you "should" be doing.
Instead, we'll look for realistic changes that fit your life.
Sometimes one small change becomes the beginning of a much bigger improvement.

7 DAILY WAYS TO REGULATE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM
-

BREATHE
Practice slow belly breathing for 5 minutes. Inhale for 4 seconds. Exhale for 6-8 seconds. Long, slow exhale = calm nervous system.
-

MOVE YOUR BODY
Aim for 20-30 minutes of daily movement daily. Walking, strength training, yoga, or stretching to reduce stress hormones and boost mood.
-

GET MORNING LIGHT
Spend 10-20 minutes outside within the first hour of waking. Morning light regulates mood, sleep, energy, and your circadian rhythm.
-

PRACTICE MINDFULNESS
Spend 5-10 minutes focusing on your breath. Notice thoughts without judgment and gently bring your attention back to the present.
-

CONNECT WITH OTHERS
Healthy relationships help regulate your nervous system. Call a friend. Hug a loved one. Spend time with people who support and uplift you.
-

PRIORITIZE SLEEP
Aim for 7-9 hour each night. Keep a consistent bedtime. Create a dark, cool, quiet environment. Avoid screens 30-60 minutes before bed.
-

NOURISH YOUR BRAIN
Eat whole foods: lean protein, healthy fats, fruits, vegetables, and stay hydrated. Limited excess caffeine, sugar, and alcohol.
